I’ll start out the article on a positive; I lost weight on my first week at weight watchers. I’ll continue with an even bigger positive; you can have wine on weight watchers, and still lose weight. YAY.
Month: January 2017
As per my previously outlined resolutions, it’s time to fight the fat and find my inner fittie (if she’s in there. I think I might have eaten her). My plan of attack is two-fold; walk more, and stick to Weight Watchers. My cheeky Little Mister is starting to cruise. He doesn’t seem to interested in crawling in a civilised manner, but is super-content with just throwing himself at surfaces or rolling to whatever he’s deemed interesting enough to warrant attention (annoyingly he’ll often by-pass toys and home in on a leaf fragment that’s blown in to eat it). This is great for the diet, as it’s keeping me a little too busy to think about food all the time, and on my feet a bit more to up my step count.
2016 has just flown by, and I’ve loved every minute of it. This last year was certainly life-changing with the arrival of Little Mister, and even though 2017 is well underway I didn’t want to get much further without do a piece on a few of the highlights of the last 12 months.Continue reading
The definition of a resolution is “a firm decision to do or not do something”. For many of us (me especially included in this) it’s super easy to reel off a million changes we want to make after each Hootenanny, only to get overwhelmed come mid-January and break-down in a chocolate and domino’s fuelled binge. This year I’m feeling a little different, as becoming a parent tends to do. I’m feeling more in control, that I am the “the master of my fate” and “the captain of my soul” (if you want to get overly poetic about it). I’ve also gained an appreciation that most of the things that would have caused me angst previously are actually pretty trivial, and while things happen that we cannot change, the way we handle them is totally within our control. Little Mister already seems to have the resolution of trying to scale every possible surface and give his Mummy a heart attack…
